Sr. Software Engineer, US Citizen Required, Active Clearances or Ability to Get Clearances

We are seeking an experienced Sr. Software Engineer to help bring the latest in advanced security and decision engine technologies to market. In addition to being a member of the development team, where you will have the opportunity to show your superior coding skills and develop new ones, you will also have the opportunity to propose new projects and advance innovative technical ideas.

You will be the person who has:

Education: Minimally a B.S. in Computer Engineering or Computer Science
Years of Experience: 4-8 years

Required: 
  • Software and HDL design, development, and testing
  • Experience in C++ and VHDL
  • Experience with FPGA development, with partial reconfiguration development a plus
  • Experience working in Windows, with Linux a major plus
  • Critical thinking ability with exceptional ability to learn new skills
  • Creativity and strong technical writing skills
  • Commitment to deliver tangible business results and not only code
  • A down-to-earth and friendly personality
  • Self-driven and capable of adhering to mid-to-long project schedules
Desirable: 
  • Decision engine technology with a strong math and statistics background
  • Security based applications including cryptography
  • GUI design and development
  • Java experience preferred but not necessary
  • Verilog experience preferred but not necessary
  • RTOS a plus
Daily work will involve coordinating with a team to achieve development projects with a typical scope of 6-24 months. The job will also include inventing and brainstorming software solutions to specific identified topics, preparing proposals and status reports, as well as, preparing and presiding over various meeting presentations and demonstrations.  

Travel: Very Limited
Location: Austin or San Antonio, TX
